NoBe Community Garden Expansion

At the May 2025, City Commission meeting, the city commission voted to revise the proposed budget amendment that would have reallocated funds away from Park View, that were supposed for use at the Park View Annex Park.
Thanks to Omar's advocacy, through the Park View Island Sustainable Association, the funds will be kept for use within the Park View Annex Park, and now be made available for near future expansion of the NoBe Community Garden. Another great achievement for our community!
$30k+ has been confirmed at the July 11 budget meeting for FY26, focused to expand the garden, which will provide more garden bed spaces and some much more needed shade area to green fingered gardeners, some who are on a 6+ month waiting list to get a plot at the very popular, all organic garden in North Beach. This community garden is one of only three community gardens in Miami Beach.
