Miami Dade - International Coastal Cleanup Day - North Beach

For three consecutive years, the Park View Island Sustainable Neighborhood Association has proudly served as the official North Beach Captain Host for International Coastal Cleanup Day, organizing large-scale volunteer efforts to remove trash and raise awareness about marine pollution. Under Omar’s leadership, the Association has mobilized hundreds of residents and volunteers to restore and protect North Beach’s coastline. In recognition of his outstanding dedication, Omar was honored with the Ocean Conservancy’s Engagement Award at the 2024 International Coastal Cleanup flagship event.
