Between 2021-2022 Park View Island was suffering from regular sewer overflows. The sewer water was coming out onto the streets. Through the Park View Island Sustainable Association, Omar advocated for immediate sewer relining of all sewer lines on park view island and surrounding streets outside the island. Once the sewer lines relining was completed, we have not seen any more overflows on Park View since.
