in 2023, by working with Public Works through the Park View Island Sustainable Association, Omar was able successfully advocate for a full repaving of all sidewalks on Park View Island. This is something the Park View Island Sustainable Association had been advocating for as a priority, due to the degraded state of the sidewalks on the island prior to this project being undertaken by Public Works.
