Surfrider Water Sampling - Park View Kayak Launch

In 2020, through the Park View Island Sustainable Association, Omar teamed up with the local chapter of the Surfrider Foundation with thanks to a generous donation from a local North Beach resident. This allowed the Surfrider to begin sampling the water at the Park View Kayak Launch every week.
Omar would head out on his kayak every Thursday and sample the water at the Kayak Launch, then deliver the samples to the Surfrider Lab on Lincoln Rd. The Park View Island Sustainable Associations collaboration with the Surfrider has been instrumental in the years since, collecting much needed data and monitoring the water quality weekly, which is then posted to the Surfrider website.
